Tryndamere, the Barbarian King, cannot die for a few seconds during Undying Rage and heals by spending Fury with Bloodlust. Master+ played him Top mostly and Mid now and then, on Hail of Blades more than Lethal Tempo, with Ravenous Hydra opening the path bought most. Camille, Darius and Aatrox beat him most often. Jax and Garen he did better against. Nasus, Malphite and Renekton were near-even.

    Why, in Riot's words

    Tryndamere is getting some real gameplay updates with this patch and some very real nerfs due to how much critical strike chance he normally has. To weaken how incredible his early game all-ins can be with 200% crit damage, we're nerfing his early bonus AD from Q and nerfing his early E as well. However, he's also getting some new tools. First, his Q now gives full value at 10% remaining health, meaning he can get the full bonus attack damage during his ultimate and it no longer has a disincentive for ranking up. Second, his W will now slow enemies any time they are running away from Tryndamere, regardless of where they were looking when he cast it. We expect this substantial increase in reliability is a big buff, so we've preemptively nerfed the slow itself. Though the slow duration is going down, the AD reduction is still the full four seconds regardless of facing.

Riot's tips for Tryndamere

Playing Tryndamere

  • Delaying the activation of Undying Rage is a very effective way to make an enemy champion over-commit to trying to kill you.
  • Bloodlust is an excellent way to heal Tryndamere. Try not to let it fade off before you activate it.
  • If the enemy is stacking Armor, try building items like Last Whisper or Youmuu's Ghostblade.

Playing against Tryndamere

  • Try harassing Tryndamere early so he can't kill minions and heal with Bloodlust.
  • Remember, Tryndamere can only slow you if you are facing away from him.
  • Most of Tryndamere's damage is physical. If he's getting too strong, consider buying a Thornmail.

The wrathful barbarian has long sought revenge for the annihilation of his clan, though more recently he has found companionship with Ashe, the Avarosan warmother, and a home with her people. Rank aggregation

Minimum sample
None — no figure is hidden for being thin. Every rate prints its games, and the confidence band is its 95% margin: Very High within ±1.5 points, High ±2.5, Moderate ±3.1 (1,000 games), Low wider.
Why a build is not a cause
An item is counted when the match ENDS with it, so late items show long games and an item bought when already ahead shows games that were being won. Correlation is what a rate can show; it is not evidence that buying the item caused the win.
