Terminus — Alternating Light and Dark Attacks

3,000gold

Kill minions periodically to heal and grant gold to a nearby ally

Terminus works by alternating: against champions, Juxtaposition swaps between Light attacks, which grant Armor and Magic Resist for 5 seconds, and Dark attacks, which grant 10% Armor and Magic Penetration for 5 seconds. Patch 26.15 gave its Shadow on-hit damage scaling — 30 plus 10% bonus AD and 10% AP — to make it a late-game pick. The item itself is 3,000 gold for 30 AD and 35% Attack Speed.

What it grants

  • 30 Attack Damage
  • 35% Attack Speed

Passives

  • Shadow: Attacks deal bonus magic damage On-Hit.
  • Juxtaposition: Alternate between Light and Dark Attacks against champions: Light Attacks grant Armor and Magic Resist for 5s. Dark Attacks grant 10% Armor Penetration and Magic Penetration for 5s.

    Why, in Riot's words

Terminus is meant to be one of the premium capstone items for scaling On-Hit builds, but has been more of a mid game spike item than a true late game scaling option, leaving the on-hit space a bit sparse for options later on.
