Clash Royale Merge Tactics — Team Builder, Traits and Next Troop

The auto-battler mode inside Clash Royale: plan your board, Traits and economy. No win rates exist — Supercell publishes none — so the advice is Trait math from its posts.

Season 11 runs to Nov 30, 2026. Since Oct 27, 2026 you get 5 Elixir each round, and a 2-Elixir troop has 8 copies in the shared pool (3-Elixir: 6). The pool holds 27 troops in 8 Traits; Boss has the most troops (5).

Merge Tactics Rulers

  • Spirit Empress: Fusion Foresight: every merge grants +1 bonus Elixir. Jun 29, 2025

  • Elixir Loong (+1 team size): Endless Spring: +1 Elixir per turn and +1 team size. Arrived in November 2025. Sep 26, 2025

  • Ronin: Double Edge: pick a tile before battle; when an enemy steps on it Ronin strikes in an X, and the centre tile takes double damage. Jul 1, 2026

Where Merge Tactics guides disagree

  • Copies in the shop pool: Supercell’s launch post gave every troop the same number of copies; since 27 October 2026 a 2-Elixir troop has 8 copies and a 3-Elixir troop 6. The wiki counts 26 cards with 8 copies each.
  • Elixir per round: Supercell changed it in the 1 October 2026 post and changed it back to 5 on 27 October — a guide or solver written in between is out of date.
  • Traits per troop: two at launch, exactly one from Season 9 — older guides and solvers still list two.
  • Unlock arena: Supercell’s June 2025 post says Arena 3; the wiki says Arena 1. We show Supercell’s.
  • Diamond league: Diamond started at 3,000 Starsteel before Season 11 and starts at 4,000 now — older road tables are out of date.

Players ask

How does Merge Tactics work?

A turn-based Mode for 4 players. Each round has a Deploy Phase (manage Elixir, place and merge troops) and an automatic Battle Phase; the last one standing wins. Duplicates merge: 1-Star up to 3-Star, or 4-Star with luck.

Source: Supercell
How much Elixir do you get each round?

5 Elixir each round since Oct 27, 2026 (it was four from 1 October 2026, so a guide written in between is out of date).

Source: Supercell
How many copies of a troop are in the pool?

The pool is shared by all players. Since Oct 27, 2026 a 2-Elixir troop has 8 copies and a 3-Elixir troop 6 (it was 4 before).

Which modifiers does each league use?

Each league has two modifiers, in the table of Supercell’s Oct 27, 2026 post — from Bronze I (Merge Training) to Diamond (Trait Dummy).

When does Merge Tactics Season 11 end?

Nov 30, 2026, as Supercell’s 30 September 2026 post states; the November post does not repeat it.

Source: Supercell
What do Merge Tactics badges require?

When Season 11 ends (30 November) badges follow the other Clash Royale badges: Silver = reach Diamond League, Gold = Top 10,000.

Source: Supercell
Is Merge Tactics permanent?

Supercell has posted about the mode every month since 2025 (21 posts read) and has not called it permanent or temporary in them.

Source: Supercell
Does Merge Tactics have win rates or a real tier list?

No. Supercell publishes no Merge Tactics match statistics, and GamGem counts none. The advice on this page ranks by Trait math — breakpoints, roles and printed costs — and says so.

What is the best Merge Tactics team?

Nobody can name one from data: Supercell publishes no Merge Tactics win rates and GamGem counts none. What the posts do give is Trait steps. The Traits with the most troops to draw from are Boss (5 troops, steps 2 / 4), Noble (4 troops, steps 2 / 4), Rider (4 troops, steps 1 / 2 / 3 / 4); 3 of 8 Traits have every step printed by Supercell, the rest are marked Sample. Build toward the highest printed step you can reach with troops you can afford.

Is Merge Tactics the same as TFT?

No — it has the same genre but is a mode of Clash Royale; the Traits, troops and pool on this page are Merge Tactics’ own.
