Methodology and weighting

Role coverage. Each card gives 0–2 points to each job it does (GamGem role table, Oct 24, 2026). A job is covered when its points reach the need: win condition 2, air defense 3, building / tank answer 2, big spell 2, small spell 2, cycle 2, splash 2, reset / stun 1. Coverage score = weighted share of needs met.

Bait class. Counts distinct cheap targets for the same spell: swarm targets for small spells, plus buildings. 3+ swarm targets = spell bait; 2+ buildings and a ground win condition = building bait. Fewer targets = “not enough to call it bait”.

Skill floor. 0–100 from: average card difficulty, a fast cycle (average elixir under 3.0), timing-sensitive cards, cards doing 2+ jobs at once, and many cards needing exact placement. Under 40 = friendly, 40–64 = medium, 65+ = high.

Level readiness. 100 minus 8 per level of spread, minus 4 per level the median sits under 14. The lowest card 2+ levels below the median is flagged as the fragile link.

Legal replacements. Only cards you own at the levels you entered, never a card already in the deck, never a locked slot. Ranking depends on the mode: fewest changed jobs, highest level, or biggest coverage gain.

What we don’t claim. No live win rates. The one meta number shown is a counted archetype row and is kept separate from the deck scores. AI may only re-word these rows.

Quick answers

Do I need a player tag or an account?
No. You set each card’s level with the − and + buttons, or paste a list of names and levels. Nothing is sent anywhere: the deck and levels stay in this browser and in the link’s # part.
Where do the average elixir and the 4-card cycle come from?
Card costs come from the official card list (122 cards with a fixed cost, read Oct 24, 2026). Average elixir is the eight costs divided by 8; the 4-card cycle is the elixir of your four cheapest cards. The starter deck here averages 2.6 with a cycle of 6.
Is the score a win-rate prediction?
No. The score is role coverage and conflicts — a GamGem calculation from a visible role table (Oct 24, 2026). Win and use rates are counted separately from top-ladder battles, shown only for the deck’s archetype (on the archetype pages too), with their sample and window.
Does it know my real card levels?
Only what you type or import: each card takes levels from its first level up to 16, the current cap. Until you do, every card starts at level 11 and the page says so.
Which slots can hold an Evolution, a Hero or a Wild card?
A deck can hold 1 Evolution slot, 1 Hero slot and 1 Wild slot (either an Evolution or a Hero). (checked Mar 16, 2026).
How are replacements chosen?
A row reads “replace this card with that one”: it shows the level gap and the coverage score before and after the swap. Only cards you own, never one already in the deck and never a locked slot; the table shows the best six and sorts by level gap or by score after.
How do I open my deck in Clash Royale?
Fill all eight slots, then press “Copy to Clash Royale” (or “Open in Clash Royale”). It makes the game’s own deck link, link.clashroyale.com/deck/en?deck= followed by the eight official card ids; open it on a device with the game installed. Levels and Evolution or Hero marks are not part of that link.
Can I paste a deck from Clash Royale?
Yes. Open “Import from collection”, paste the game’s deck link and press “Use as deck”: the eight cards fill the slots, each at the starting level until you type your real ones. Nothing is sent anywhere.
