Supercell’s “New Season: King vs. King!” brings two Evolutions — one for Giant and one for Mirror — a four-week event, King of Cards, that boosts a different set of win conditions each week, and dated items from 2 November to 7 December. The post prints the dates of every part but not the day the season itself begins, and it does not give the season a number. Everything below is from the post, and what it leaves out is marked.

When does the King vs King season start, and what is on when?

Supercell does not state a start date for the season. The first dated item in its post is Daily Puzzles on 2 November, and the previous season’s own challenge and game-mode windows run to 2 November as well, so 2 November is the most likely start. That is our reading of two dated posts, not a line Supercell wrote. The dates it did write:

Every dated item in the 27 October post, in running order. Dates as Supercell prints them, 2026; no end date is given for the Deck Wizard test or the second puzzle set.

What does the Giant Evolution do?

Supercell describes it in three sentences. An Evolved Giant becomes enraged once he has taken enough damage and leaves a trail of Rage that strengthens the troops following behind him. Each of his attacks makes that trail larger. And he still goes for buildings. The post gives no damage, hitpoint or trail numbers, so neither do we; those arrive when the Evolution does, and the card’s page will carry them with their source.

Supercell says it is unlocked through Pass Royale or with Wild Shards.

How does the Mirror Evolution work?

Mirror Evolution copies the last card you played, as an Evolution, at one level higher. The card needs an Evolution to exist, but it does not have to sit in an Evolution slot or be in your collection. When the card you copy has no Evolution, Mirror Evolution does what Mirror always did: the same card, one level up.

It is sold in the Shop from week 2, or unlocked with Wild Shards. Giant and Mirror are the two cards boosted for the whole season, from the first day to the last.

What is King of Cards, and which cards are boosted each week?

King of Cards is the season’s Win Condition Mastery event, running 9 November to 7 December. From week 2 a set of win conditions is boosted each week, and three challenges are scheduled inside it. The post prints the lists in full:

The boosted win conditions, week by week, exactly as Supercell lists them. Giant and Mirror are boosted all season and are not repeated. The date column is ours: it counts week 1 as 2 – 8 November, which makes week 2 begin on 9 November, the day King of Cards starts.
WeekBoosted cardsDates, if week 1 starts 2 Nov
Week 2Battle Ram, Hog Rider, Mortar, Minion Giant, Goblin Barrel9 – 15 Nov
Week 3Balloon, Royale Hogs, Three Musketeers, Royal Giant, Ram Rider, Wall Breakers16 – 22 Nov
Week 4Goblin Giant, Skeleton Barrel, Golem, Electro Giant, Lava Hound, Elixir Golem23 – 29 Nov
Week 5X-Bow, Miner, Graveyard, Goblin Drill30 Nov – 6 Dec

The three challenges — Quick Wit from 16 November, Beatdown from 23 November, Siege & Chip from 30 November — each start on the first day of weeks 3, 4 and 5 by that count, which is one more reason to read 2 November as the start. The post does not say which week’s list belongs to which challenge, and “boosted” is Supercell’s word: it gives no figure for the boost, so we print none.

If you play one of these cards, the page for it holds what we count: Hog Rider, Balloon, Golem and Miner are among the ones the event touches. What our card pages show is our own count of top-ladder battles, with its sample and date, and it is not Supercell’s statistic.

What are Daily Puzzles?

From 2 to 8 November a new puzzle appears each day. You are handed one to four cards and must win against a fixed sequence of plays from the other side, and every card can be played only once. There is no reward; players are ranked by how few attempts they needed. A second set of puzzles is promised later in the season, with no date.

What are the Royal Market and the Deck Wizard?

The Royal Market runs 9 November to 7 December and sells items and cosmetics for Crown Tokens, a limited-time currency earned through events and the Shop. It opens fully in week 2, and the most sought-after items unlock only after you have spent 3,000 Crown Tokens.

The Deck Wizard replaces the Magic Wand. It builds a deck from scratch or around cards you like, and in the Duel Deck it suggests cards from your collection that your other decks do not use. It reaches the Trophy Road deck-building tab in week 2, as a limited test — Supercell says some players will get it later. Our own deck pages show what the top of the ladder actually plays, with the sample size beside every win rate.

Are there balance changes with the new season?

The season post lists none. Supercell had already moved its November balance changes forward: its October post put them on 6 and 19 October, ahead of the World Finals, and says it will not introduce balance changes at the start of the November season but may adjust further after the World Finals. Every change from those two dates is on our patches page, and we walk through them in a separate piece.

What this establishes

  • Giant and Mirror get Evolutions: Giant leaves a Rage trail that grows with each attack, Mirror copies the last card played as an Evolution at one level higher.
  • King of Cards runs 9 November to 7 December, with a different list of boosted win conditions each week from week 2 and challenges starting 16, 23 and 30 November.
  • Daily Puzzles run 2 to 8 November with no reward; the Royal Market and the Deck Wizard both arrive in week 2.
  • The season post lists no balance changes; Supercell’s October post says none are planned for the start of the November season.

What stays open

  • The season’s own start date and number — the post gives neither; 2 November is our reading of two dated posts.
  • What “boosted” means in numbers, and the Giant Evolution’s damage, hitpoints and Rage trail values.
  • When the second Daily Puzzles set and the Deck Wizard’s wider rollout arrive.
  • What the teased new competitive mode is; Supercell says it will be revealed at the World Finals.
