Mustang .357 in GTA 6

A high-power revolver read off Rockstar's published screenshots — modelled on the Colt Python in PC Gamer's reading, with a Duke Arms Company logo behind the cylinder in GTA Wiki's.

Identified

A high-power revolver identified by PC Gamer in the published material and modelled, in its reading, on the Colt Python. GTA Wiki’s editors read a Duke Arms Company logo behind the cylinder of the one in Rockstar’s screenshot, with the name engraved along the barrel. Whether it outclasses the Ultimate Edition Morgans is not established — which is the honest answer to the only question a reader has about it.

Identified in Rockstar’s published material by outside readers; Rockstar has not described it. Rockstar has published no weapon statistics for GTA 6, so this page prints none.

What is known about the Mustang .357

Each answer carries how settled it is and who settled it. Where nobody has said, the card says that instead of guessing — and says what stays open even after the answer.

Where has the Mustang .357 been seen?

Shown, not stated

In an official screenshot.

A woman holds it across her biker partner’s chest; “Mustang .357” is engraved along the barrel and the Duke Arms Company logo sits behind the cylinder (an official screenshot). None of it shows how the gun handles — Rockstar has published no weapon statistics for GTA 6.

Still open — Damage, rate of fire, magazine size and how it is obtained in play — no frame or listing shows them.

What real gun is the Mustang .357 based on?

Said on record

The Colt Python, as the people who studied Rockstar’s images read it.

PC Gamer and GTA Wiki both read it as a Colt Python. The “.357” is the Python’s cartridge, the .357 Magnum; “Mustang” is the name of another Colt pistol.

Still open — Rockstar never names a real firearm, so no reading here will ever be confirmed by the publisher.

How we checked this page

Two outlets studied the same Rockstar screenshot and noticed different things: PC Gamer the Colt Python silhouette, GTA Wiki's editors a Duke Arms logo and the name engraved on the barrel. Neither contradicts the other, so both stay, each credited. How it compares with the Morgan pair has not been published, and we do not guess.
