Nipper .38 in GTA 6

The small handgun in Lucia's hand on the cover art itself, and seen again and again in the material around it — PC Gamer's count. A weapon a publisher puts on its cover is one it expects to be recognised.

Identified

A small handgun that appears on the cover art itself, in Lucia's hand, and repeatedly in the material around it — PC Gamer's count, not ours. Its prominence is the one fact about it: a weapon a publisher puts on a cover is a weapon it expects to be recognised, and nothing about its performance has been stated.

Identified in Rockstar’s published material by outside readers; Rockstar has not described it. Rockstar has published no weapon statistics for GTA 6, so this page prints none.

Why the Nipper .38 matters: it is on the cover

Each answer carries how settled it is and who settled it. Where nobody has said, the card says that instead of guessing — and says what stays open even after the answer.

Where has the Nipper .38 been seen?

Shown, not stated

In a video on the promotional website, official artwork and the cover art.

In Lucia’s hand as Jason shuts the trunk of their Tulip (a video on the promotional website). Lucia holds it while in Jason’s arms at the Starlet Motel (official artwork). Held by Lucia on the cover itself, where the full name and a “Made in Brazil” marking can be read (the cover art). None of it shows how the gun handles — Rockstar has published no weapon statistics for GTA 6.

Still open — Damage, rate of fire, magazine size and how it is obtained in play — no frame or listing shows them.

What real gun is the Nipper .38 based on?

Said on record

The Bersa Firestorm 380, as the people who studied Rockstar’s images read it.

GTA Wiki’s editors read it as the Bersa Firestorm 380, with a slide taken from the Taurus PT 938. PC Gamer expects it to be a modest gun rather than the top of its class — a reading of its size, not a statistic.

Still open — Rockstar never names a real firearm, so no reading here will ever be confirmed by the publisher.

How we checked this page

This entry rests on one very public image — the cover art, where the pistol sits in Lucia's hand. The Bersa Firestorm match and the tally of its other appearances belong to PC Gamer. Because nothing about its handling has been stated, the page stops at what the art shows rather than inventing a role for it.

What is still unknown

  • The actual damage model, and whether it is per-shot or per-second.
  • Recoil behaviour, which no published material describes.
  • Carry limit — how many weapons can be held at once.
  • Ammunition economy, and whether ammo is bought or found.
  • Whether any mission restricts or replaces the loadout.
