Duke Sniper Rifle in GTA 6

A rifle carried by a hunter in Rockstar's published screenshots, Duke Arms insignia on the magwell and no model name attached. Enough of its parts match the Duke carbine that it may be a modification of it.

Identified

A rifle carried by a hunter in the published screenshots, with the same Duke Arms insignia on the magwell and no model name attached to it. PC Gamer notes that enough of the base parts match the Duke carbine that this may be a modification of it rather than a separate weapon — a distinction the released game will settle and no reading of a screenshot can.

Identified in Rockstar’s published material by outside readers; Rockstar has not described it. Rockstar has published no weapon statistics for GTA 6, so this page prints none.

Is the Duke sniper rifle its own gun?

Each answer carries how settled it is and who settled it. Where nobody has said, the card says that instead of guessing — and says what stays open even after the answer.

Where has the Duke Sniper Rifle been seen?

Shown, not stated

In an official screenshot.

A poacher rests it against his leg on his airboat, the Duke engraving visible above the magazine (an official screenshot). None of it shows how the gun handles — Rockstar has published no weapon statistics for GTA 6.

Still open — Damage, rate of fire, magazine size and how it is obtained in play — no frame or listing shows them.

What real gun is the Duke Sniper Rifle based on?

Said on record

The M4A1 Block II, as the people who studied Rockstar’s images read it.

PC Gamer notes that its base parts match the Duke carbine closely enough that it may be the same gun, modified. GTA Wiki’s editors read an M4A1 Block II with a 20-round magazine and a Leupold Mark 6 scope.

Still open — Rockstar never names a real firearm, so no reading here will ever be confirmed by the publisher.

How we checked this page

One hunter, a few screenshots and an insignia on the magwell make up the whole record. PC Gamer's note that the parts match the Duke carbine is reported as a possibility, not a finding. Whether this is a separate rifle or a modification is a question only the finished game can close, so both answers stay on the table.

What is still unknown

  • The actual damage model, and whether it is per-shot or per-second.
  • Recoil behaviour, which no published material describes.
  • Carry limit — how many weapons can be held at once.
  • Ammunition economy, and whether ammo is bought or found.
  • Whether any mission restricts or replaces the loadout.
