Ranked Draft Helper — who to pick now

Ranked Season 50 runs 2026-10-15 → 2026-11-19 and its pool lists 26 maps; each pick has 22 seconds, bans start at Diamond I and best-of-3 at Mythic I (Brawl Stars Wiki, CC BY-SA 3.0). Class coverage is counted from 197,495 Ranked battles by 49,601 top players; the win, pick and ban rates are still being measured, so this draft helper ranks the 108 brawlers by role, Range and map context and prints no rate.

How Ranked drafting works in Brawl Stars

Ranked is a 3v3 mode with a pick phase before every match. From Bronze I to Gold III the pick is free: each player locks one brawler, every pick has 22 seconds, and a timeout means the match is cancelled (“match cancelled”). There are no bans in that band, so the first decision is simply which brawler your team can field.

Bans start at Diamond I. Each side bans three brawlers before the picks, with a 22.5-second timer; if a player lets it run out the game picks a random ban (random ban on timeout). The same team cannot ban the same brawler twice (no repeat). A ban removes the brawler from the whole match, so the board on this page treats bans as taken before any pick.

From Mythic I a match becomes best-of-3: the first team to 2 rounds wins, and the first pick of a round goes to one side by coin flip. When Blue picks first the order is Blue 3 → Red 3 → Red 2 → Blue 2 → Blue 1 → Red 1. Each pick has 22 seconds and each loadout step has 17 seconds. A swap needs Power 11, and the captain — the highest-Elo player or the room host — takes the last pick (Mythic I and above: highest Elo or room host, last pick).

The power gates decide whether you can enter at all: Diamond I needs 9 brawlers at Power 9; Mythic I needs 12 brawlers at Power 11. The pool here is the 50-season active list, checked 2026-10-19.

The Ranked Season 50 map pool

The wiki's active list for Season 50 (2026-10-15 → 2026-11-19) holds 26 maps across 6 modes. Brawl Ball is the featured mode and carries six maps; every other mode carries four. The same list is what the draft room offers above, so a pick is always judged on a map that is actually in the pool.

Role shapes behind a pick

Every brawler carries the wiki's class and its Range band. Those two facts are what the draft room can compare without a win rate: a Tank wants a short lane, a Marksman wants a long one, an Artillery brawler throws over the wall a Marksman hides behind. The pool of 108 is split 23 short / 21 mid / 62 long Range.

  • Damage Dealer — deals steady damage in a lane; 21 in the pool.
  • Tank — soaks damage and starts fights up close; 16 in the pool.
  • Marksman — wins long sightlines from a distance; 11 in the pool.
  • Assassin — dives in to finish weak targets; 19 in the pool.
  • Support — heals, shields or boosts teammates; 13 in the pool.
  • Controller — controls space and slows movement; 21 in the pool.
  • Artillery — throws over walls to hit hidden enemies; 7 in the pool.

On top of class and Range, each brawler has a short set of editorial role words — lane, frontline, control, anti-tank, burst, mobility, wall break, bush check, heal, thrower and gem. They are words, not numbers: they say what a brawler is for, never how often it wins. The same is true of the three-step ease word: it describes how hard a kit is to pick up and is used only in Learnable mode.

How this draft helper ranks a pick

The recommendation is a relative ranking of the brawlers still available, for the slot in front of you. It is not a win probability and it is not a tier list: it answers “which of these fits this board”, using only the things this page can actually show.

ComponentWeightBuilt from
Map context35%The mode’s objective and whether it is the featured mode — the counted fingerprint is shown beside the pick, not scored.
Ally fit20%Classes and Range bands already on your team — editorial rules.
Class answer25%Our class-vs-class role matrix; the measured edge is being measured.
Role need20%Uncovered lane, control, frontline, anti-tank and mobility words.

Score = 100 × (35% × map + 20% × ally fit + 25% × class answer + 20% × role need) − a risk penalty while the enemy still has picks. The situation chips re-weight the same four parts (Safe first pick raises the risk penalty; Counter enemy raises the class answer to 40%); the style toggle adds the ease bonus only in Learnable mode. The full per-pick numbers are in the Evidence drawer above.

What ranks a pick. A visible model: 35% map context, 20% ally fit, 25% class answer, 20% role need, minus a risk penalty while the enemy still picks. Every input is a class, a Range band, an editorial role word or the mode’s objective.

What is not in it. Win rate, pick share, ban rate and counter edge. The battle-log gate is closed, so those cells say Being measured and do not enter the score.

No-data fallback. A brawler with no class or no Range band loses that component and says so; nothing is filled in. A map with no counted battles shows its wiki pool row and no fingerprint.

Not a prophecy. A relative role ranking from the board in front of you — not a win probability, and never a claim about your account.

Ranked draft questions

How long do you have to pick in Brawl Stars Ranked?

Each pick has 22 seconds and the loadout step has 17; a free-pick timeout cancels the match (Brawl Stars Wiki, CC BY-SA 3.0).

When do bans start in Ranked?

Bans start at Diamond I with a 22.5-second timer; a timeout picks a random ban.

What is the best-of-3 pick order?

From Mythic I a match is best-of-3; the first team to 2 rounds wins, and the first pick goes Blue, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Red.

What does “Being measured” mean on this page?

The battle-log win, pick and ban rates are still being checked, so the cell shows no number. The draft model below uses classes, Range and roles only.
