  INSTANTLY start channeling your focus. Once focused: gain a shield which absorbs one instance of damage from any source, reload more quickly, and enter a flow state during which downed enemies you kill or damage spawn an energy orb. Shooting this orb refreshes your flow state and your existing shield, or grants another.

• XKill Contractdamage

  EQUIP an interdimensional arena. FIRE to hurl a column of energy through the battlefield, pulling and healing both you and the first enemy hit into the arena to duel to the death.

1. Patch 13.012026-07-14

   Double Tap

   • The speed of equipping your weapon after unequipping Double Tap is now instant.

2. Patch 11.082025-10-14

   Kill Contract

   • Length decreased from48m→to36m
   Why, in Riot's words

   Most Duelist gameplay is in a healthy state, so we're making minor tunings. We want stuns and slows to feel rewarding when they lead to kills, so we're making adjustments that will reward precise timing and well-coordinated ability combos.

3. Patch 10.042025-03-04

   Undercut

   • Reduced charges from2→to1
   • Cost increased from200→to300 credits

   Contingency

   • Now has an Alt-Fire cast that makes the wall move at half the speed
   • This does not affect the duration of Contingency.
   Why, in Riot's words

   Changes to Kill Contract are intended to ensure that won duels in the arena always spawn an orb.

   Now applies Suppression alongside Vulnerability for the same duration (4s) on players hit.

4. Patch 8.012024-01-23

   EDouble Tap

   • Shootable orb duration increased2→to3 seconds

   Why, in Riot's words

   Reduction in the visual width of the Double Tap (E) shield should increase the combat advantage you have when entering space by providing enemies less telegraph that you are swinging around the corner.

   We’ve reduced the cost of Contingency to better reflect the value we see it generating in game.
