One is on record: Stephen Root voices Brian Heder, and he said so himself. Rockstar has credited nobody — Jason and Lucia included.

Root was asked by the Associated Press in September 2026 whether he is in the game, and said yes; fans had already recognised his voice as Brian Heder’s in Rockstar’s own footage. That is the performer’s word, not a credit — the publisher’s character page names no actor for anyone. Two names are attached to Jason and Lucia across fan sites, matched from voice and likeness rather than from a credit, and this page does not print them: a casting claim about a living person needs that person’s word or the credits. A podcast with a record of Rockstar contacts reported the cast being told they may announce their roles on 19 November, launch day. Rockstar has not confirmed that message.

Rockstar has not named one. No profile it has published casts anyone as the antagonist.

The name that keeps coming up is Raul Bautista — and the fan site that tracks villain theories calls that a theory itself. Rockstar’s own profile of him reads, in full: “Confidence, charm, and cunning — Raul’s a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards.” “Raul's recklessness raises the stakes with every score. Sooner or later, his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table.” Reckless, and a recruiter for scores — but nothing published sets him against Jason and Lucia, or against anyone. A list that names a main villain for GTA 6 is making a guess, however confidently it is worded.

How many characters are confirmed in GTA 6?

Ten — and you will find other numbers, because the counts published elsewhere are counting different things. They run from eight, where the duo Real Dimez is one entry rather than two, up to twenty-six, which folds in figures shown in a trailer but never named, names that surfaced only in a leaked development build, and entries the publishing site itself tags as rumoured. Ten is how many people Rockstar has named and profiled. What is thin is not the names but everything behind them: for eight of the ten, a role and a sentence is the whole published record.
