Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson described three cases in a preview interview: missions that hold you to one character, missions that hand the switch to you at a set moment, and stretches where you swap at will. He gave a worked example — one early mission was freely switchable during development and was then fixed to Jason, because having the other lead direct him that early read as unnatural. This came from an interview at a preview event rather than from a published document, which is why it is on the record without being in one.

Coverage supplies all of them anyway, and a stated sentence and an inferred backstory look identical on a page that does not separate them.

Jason’s profile is the same: no age there either.

The publisher’s sentence is “Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary” — an act, and then no charge, no victim, no plea and no term. It is not even stated that there was a conviction rather than a remand. Detailed rap sheets for this character circulate widely, and every one of them is a reading of that single sentence plus the prison scene the first trailer opens on. This is the most-filled-in blank about either lead.
