- 0:30Late A execute: hold a patient default, then hit A in the final 30 seconds.
- 0:06since the round began · A CT going through Temple reaches its exit about 5.6 s into the round; the fastest T out of Long arrives at 13.5 s (knife) - so a Long take needs a Temple smoke.
- 0:08since the round began · Mid race: a CT AWP is ready at Top of Mid about 8.1 s in; the first T shows there at about 8.4 s (knife) or 9.8 s (AK).
- 0:10since the round began · B plant: CTs arrive about 9.7 s in, Ts about 13.4 s - under 4 s head start, so a fast B can still catch CTs setting up (A plant: 5.4 s vs 15.7 s).
- 0:12takes · A-to-B rotation along the CT side takes about 11.7 s (knife) - how long a lone B CT must hold for help.

CT setup3 guides
- 1Temple — Hold A Main at range so the first T out of Main is seen before he can be traded; stay alive rather than duel alone.
- 2Donut — Guard the mid-to-A connection and make a crossfire with the A player and the mid player; shout the moment Donut is lost.
- 3Sniper’s Nest — Watch mid from the nest, slow the T mid take with a grenade or a safe angle, and back off once you have the info.
- 4B Ramp — Anchor B against Ramp: deny the top of Ramp with a molotov on timing, then drop behind Pillar and play for time.
- 5Cave — Second B player: back up the anchor, fight for Cave only with support, rotate on mid or B info.
Mid control decision tree
Solo-queue call ladder
- 1Agree on one simple default each round; full executes rarely work with randoms. guide
- 2Learn and throw your own key smokes instead of counting on teammates to do it. guide
- 3Call exact numbers, positions (callouts, not "left"), utility you see and kills you get; say when you are guessing and how old your information is. guide
- 4Announce anything that departs from the plan — taking the bomb elsewhere or lurking; an unannounced lurk just leaves the team a player down. guide
- 5If unsure what to play, take support: learn a handful of grenades, throw them for others and trade. guide
- 6Stay quiet in clutches unless the info is vital, never flame randoms, mute if needed. guide
- 7Settle buys together in freeze time; players with spare money drop weapons for poorer teammates. guide

Round review: errors → repairs
If CTs push / we lose a player
- Stay tradeable: keep enough spacing that a teammate can punish your killer — not stacked on top of each other, not so far back that the defender escapes. guide
- The trading player swings right after first contact, before the enemy can reset; on a numbers advantage, count down a double peek. guide
- Do not be the first to see an enemy unless the trade or your utility is ready; an entry only works as a pair, and an untraded first death gives the enemy free value. guide
- On CT side, being tradeable means crossfires, a support angle or a fallback route rather than a lone early fight. guide
- In retakes, enter together and trade instantly instead of trickling in. guide

How fresh
- No strategy-relevant geometry change found for Ancient in the CS2 era. The August 2025 patches were cosmetic/clipping: they reverted the "house" roof decorations near CT spawn and restored the plywood wallbang in Cave. Prima (2023) and Refrag (Feb 2025) predate those patches; nothing in them depends on the changed spots. csdb flags that two CS2 updates (latest 4 Aug 2026) shipped after its 4 July 2026 review.
- Callout mapping used in this file: csdb "Short"/"Tunnels" (mid-to-A route) -> Donut; "CT Lane" -> CT; "Ramp" -> B Ramp; "Square" -> Back Halls; "Red Room"/"Pit" (mid spots) -> Mid; the B-side "House"/"Lamp Room"/"Dark" route is written as House or Cave as each source names it (Prima says Lamproom/House is also called Cave). Valve's own "house" is the CT building above mid (see contradictions).
Contradictions
- Where the second B defender plays in the standard setupOne view: Prima and BoostRoom put him at the mid-side B entrance (Prima: "House", which it equates with Cave; BoostRoom: "Cave/B support").Another: csdb makes Back Halls the B support/retake spot and lets the fifth player roam between Back Halls and A.
- How many CTs mid needsOne view: csdb: mid can be held with utility only (Elbow molotov + tunnel smoke on timing).Another: BoostRoom and Winio: two players should deny mid early when the Ts keep taking it.
- What "House" meansOne view: Prima and csdb use House for the B-side route/structure from Lamp Room into B (Prima: also called Cave).Another: Valve's own "house" is the CT building above mid (patch notes place it near CT spawn); csbepro says players call that spot Snipers Nest.
- Which side "Top Mid" is onOne view: csdb (role list): Top Mid is a T-side mid angle contesting the nest.Another: Winio: Top Mid is the deeper part of mid near the CT positions; csbepro: the stairs from mid up to House.
Why this plan?
Each line on this board is a row from a guide — a default, a setup, a branch, an execute — cited where it shows. The missing-player rule, the swap rule and the coordination count are ours, and say so.
- Entry:
- First player into contested space; job is to win the opening duel or die where a teammate can trade and take the space.
- Support:
- Throws most of the set utility, flashes for others and is the trade behind the entry.
- Lurk:
- Plays away from the main group, holds ground the team left, cuts rotations and closes late rounds — with timing agreed with the team.
- AWPer:
- Carries the team's most expensive weapon to close or open long sightlines; a team purchase, not a personal one.
- IGL:
- Calls the round, reads it mid-round and manages the team's money.
- Anchor:
- CT who holds a site alone or in a pair and is judged on surviving long enough for help, using delay utility.
- Rotator:
- CT who floats between areas and decides when the noise is real before moving.
