Misconceptions

  • “More kills means more progress.”Kills and KDA still count, but 7.3 grades vision, objectives, frontline and team play too.
  • “Legendary Ranked is just Ranked at the top.”It is solo-only with its own MMR — neither queue moves the other.
  • “Loss shields from Fortitude will save my rank.”Fortitude was removed in 7.2 — see the contradiction below.
  • “I have to play placements first.”Wild Rift Ranked has no placements.
  • “Filling is always a loss of progress.”Autofilled players get the largest role bonus, within a weekly cap.

Contradiction radar

1 contradiction between Riot’s pages
Fortitude and loss shieldsRiot Support — Ranked overview (13 Apr 2026): Still describes Ranked Fortitude filling a bar for Loss ShieldsPatch 7.2 notes (8 Jul 2026): Fortitude and Rising Star are removed, replaced by Ranked EnergyThe patch notes are newer and state the removal, so this page follows them. The support page reads as not yet updated.

Riot publishes no Ranked Energy amounts, no role-bonus sizes or caps, no marks per division and no Champion Score caps for S23 — so the Energy receipt names what counts and not how much, and where the drawing has a placement map and a score-cap table this page has the climb rules and the Legendary ladder Riot does state. How Glorious Eminence Milio is earned and when the season ends exactly are printed as not stated until Riot states them.
