  2. 2Tempered
  3. 3Enchanted
  4. 4Imprinted
  5. 5Masterworked

Why this order: Temper and enchant first so the masterwork bonus lands on finished affixes; imprint last-but-one so a bad temper does not waste the aspect. Gloves can't take a socket, so that step is skipped.

Stop when: 3 of the 4 target affixes, aspect imprinted, functional temper, masterwork 8/12. Don't reroll for max values until "Min-max".

Not yet — next step is masterworked. Boots can't take a socket.

Rules behind the checklist

Crafting order

Common community order is Socket → Temper → Enchant → Aspect → Masterwork. It changes when your masterwork target is a temper or a Greater Affix — pick that in the crafting-order panel.

Sample
Greater Affixes

A Greater Affix is a 1.5x version of a normal affix and appears only on Ancestral Legendary and Unique items. Keep items with one on your top target; never enchant it away.

BlizzardPatch 1.4.0 notes (Greater Affixes)
Tempering (2.5.0)

Tempering no longer picks a random affix from the manual: any learned temper affix can be selected and rolled onto the item (Blizzard’s 2.5.0 wording). Rare items take 1 temper; Legendary and above take 3, plus 1 per Greater Affix.

BlizzardPatch 2.5.0 notes (Tempering and Masterworking)
Masterworking (2.5.0)

Blizzard’s 2.5.0 notes describe a Refinement stat (+1–3% per Masterwork, 20% cap) and, in the same notes, a quality track: maximum quality 25 and a full Masterwork gives a 50% upgrade to a random affix, which can be a Temper. The 4 / 8 / 12 targets in the milestones are Sample goals, not game thresholds.

BlizzardPatch 2.5.0 notes (Tempering and Masterworking)
Bridge gear

Two of three key affixes is enough to wear an item until the next wall. Do not masterwork bridge gear.

Sockets

Helm, chest, pants, weapons, amulet and rings take sockets; gloves and boots do not.

Why no auto-import

Diablo IV has no official character API, so the checklist is ticked by hand and stored in this browser.
